Public Affairs & Religious Liberty (PARL)

The Public Affairs and Religious Liberty (PARL) department of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is dedicated to upholding human dignity, promoting religious freedom, and sharing the church’s mission with the world. At its heart, PARL advocates for the fundamental right to religious liberty, while building meaningful relationships with leaders across politics, religion, and communities around the globe.

Through prayerful diplomacy, organizing events, and engaging in key conversations at places like the United Nations, PARL works to protect the freedom to worship and to strengthen the church’s presence and influence. Additionally, the department provides support and advocacy for members facing persecution or discrimination because of their faith.
